The Ritchie Rosson Podcast!

Episode 1 with my great friend Michael Wo. Michael is a great friend and he taught me to do first balloon modelling and then magic. We meet every fortnight and share jokes and magic ideas. We share a similar life outlook and crazy sense of humous.

I am a massive podcast fan. My favourites are Real Time with Bill Maher and The Mick Wall Podcast but I find most podcasts way too waffly. Sometimes when they are friends they go off on dull topics. I wanted mine to have a little editing. Actually a ridiculous amount of editing to keep my own attention and hopefully my audience. It took me about 16 hours to edit this. I am hoping for at least 1 view per hour of editing. I have high hopes!

Editing with Premiere Pro

This two-minute video has taken me hundreds of hours to edit. Sorting through about twenty different videos of my shows. I like to showcase the different kinds of lovely events I get to perform at. From shows of two hundred to small birthday parties in people’s living rooms. It’s a different energy and there are nice sides and pitfalls to different rooms/situations/crowds. Amazing lively fun adults in my audiences to those glaring at me like a doctor looking at a verruca.

I nearly had this video done yesterday. I scheduled in (I’m an obsessive to-do lister). I had a little left when Premiere Pro and my computer decided to melt down. I spent two hours deleting files and programs trying to speed up my PC to no avail. I contacted Adobe and they remotely accessed by the computer and they got it working perfectly again. Thank you Shreyas at Adobe! I finished my ridiculous video.

Productivity Books BABY!

I had a friend who was a big cynic about productivity books citing how people are the same after reading one or attending a motivational speech. Well…he was wrong! I think you have to find the ones that resonate for you. I have bought some billion-selling motivational books translated into 800 languages that have bored the socks off me but others have put a rocket under my get-up-and-go. No, I don’t wake up a different Ritchie Rosson the day after finishing one but if some ideas pump me up just a little extra then the time is well worth it to me. I think motivation is an ongoing struggle and that’s why I need some of these books/podcasts always on the go dripping into me always. But if you write these books, please stop with the stories! “Mavies was an accountant in Idaho and her fahter loved to fix tractors….”…please just tell me how to live! I don’t need someone’s story to proceed the lesson. Are you just trying to pad this thing out to the 400 pages your publisher asked you for?

What are your favourite self-mastery books? I love Eat That Frog, The One Thing and the super small chapters The Little Book of Talent by Daniel Coyle.

How To Entertain Children

Are you a children’s magician/kids entertainer who wants to learn more brilliant tips about how to make it super fun for mixed ages and grown-ups too? Or do you want to get into the business? I have learned so much about this fantastic business from doing thousands of magic shows over the last ten years at birthday parties, family events, shopping centres, schools, and all sorts of other events. As well as before that for 15 years as a musician and circus contortionist in cabaret, TV, and in movies such as Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.

I have learned the long and hard road of trying what works and what doesn’t. What will make a show and what will ruin it. How to engage adults to be part of the show.

I offer online or in-person sessions (Mon-Thu in central London, South London, and East Surrey) and offer lectures for magic clubs.

Christmas magical fun at Westfield

Had a brilliant time doing magic for the excited little ones waiting to meet Santa this December. There was such a great vibe at Westfield. From the staff from the events team to the security, to the food outlets, who kept me caffeinated and fed were all super nice.

Westfield shopping centre in Shepard's Bush, London.

Thank you so much to Westfield and the awesome Joogleberry entertainment agency.

Thank you to my amazing clients in 2022!

So many 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th birthday parties, and family events. Thank you so much to all who booked me in 2022 and for 2023. Can’t wait for the year ahead. Always working hard on the show and learning new tricks, writing jokes. If you have any pics from the parties, please send to me on WhatsApp at 07791868973 or email them to me ritchie.rosson@gmail.com
