Garden parties can be a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday, and children love being outside to play. However, when it comes to the magic show itself, performing in direct sunshine isn’t suitable.
For everyone to enjoy the show comfortably, both the performance area and the seated audience need to be fully shaded. Sitting in the sun can quickly become uncomfortable for children, making it harder for them to concentrate and enjoy the magic. Bright sunlight can also make it difficult for everyone to see the performance clearly.
For this reason, I ask that the magic show takes place indoors, unless you have a large gazebo or similar covered area that is big enough to shelter both the performance space and all of the children watching.
The rest of the party can, of course, continue in the garden before or after the show. This gives everyone the best of both worlds – outdoor fun and a comfortable, magical performance that everyone can enjoy.
