I was going to make a YouTube video about my magician friend and dealer of highly illegal drugs. No, not really. He’s one of the only people in Camden not selling drugs. Michael sells magic tricks!
But my video ended up being too much fun to ignore the lovely journey through gorgeous central London. I took my first trip on a London hire bike. They are ace! Hire one. If you don’t want to ride round advertising that bank; wear a big ridiclous hat and everyone will not see the name on the bike.
I am all for folks being more informed. I myself have an impressive degree in politics. Less impressive being a 2.2 from Northampton Uni but nevertheless. What a time of information bombardment we are thriving in. But it’s too much. News is grim by nature. “Why don’t they report positive things?!” It’s not news that’s why fam. We expect things to be good and assume they are and will be so news is bad news and it’s bad. So don’t wake up to bad in your ears and take a break from it once in a while.

YES! So excited to finally get me a green screen for my YouTube videos. As a magician I have bought tons of props, gadgets and gimmicks for my shows and 90% have ended up boxed away or sold to other entertainers (they all do the same haha!)
The GS was one of these things where I thought I wanted it but had a feeling I would be selling it again soon. But NO! Loving my first attempts at having fun with this and it looks great and I have hardly opened my imagiantion on it yet.
The Elgato green screen if you can find one is so easy to set up and pack down. It’s a nice size for solo sit down or standing filming.
The part I am troubled by is how tricky to light they are. I wanted to update my video lights for a while but when I shone them on me and tried to film green screen oh boy did I need to get some new ones.
A lot of video tutorials on my dearest YouTube were frothing at the mouth over the Aputure 120D but it is rather big to set up in my shoe box sized flat. I was tempted though but when I realised that for green screening you need even lighting and not the artistic type with one key light, I looked for a set and came across the awesome and way more flat pack/plays big Aputure Amaran’s. They are iPad size and are fantastic. Battery and mains powered a variety of light types, really bright and REMOTE CONTROLLED BABY! Forget your videos, flash them at the neighbours when they put the bins out while I hide behind the curtains that what I am mostly using them for.

After a long time of being apart from my friends and family (they all live in Stoke On Trent and Peru); I was about to visit my best friend Lalla. We had such a fun day and I made a vlog about it. If you like magic, cats and very silly humour, you will love it.

I got a great comment on another video that I responded to in this video. It’s funny that now I am kind of hoping for horrible comments so I can use them for laughs.
My magic career was going great before the lock-down. It’s a funny time to be a magician/entertainer. Should I work on new magic and writing for my shows? Or will what I work on now go stale before parties start up again? For now I am working more on getting very fit and doing my comedy YouTube videos. I can’t wait to get out there and have fun and play with a room full of fun loving families.
WOW! I love them. Amazing to be outdoors working out in this recent glorious weather in UK but for those of you who like to do strong workouts you’ll know that the floor is a bit tricky to do pulling workouts so I bought some gymanstic rings and made a funny video about them.
I had seen guys putting up rings in parks before and always they were ostentatious freaks which yes is rich coming from me who hangs about in parks putting my legs behind my head, twisting balloons and whatever else bat crazy pursuit I am digging this week.
I love the rings! They are hitting so many muscles I have never felt before. I have done three workouts on them so far and I am getting good sets in. Dips are something I can do quite a lot of on chairs, bars, etc but on the rings….WOWZA! I managed 3 sets of 1 rep of dips on the rings today. It’s a killer but beautifully so. Can’t wait to get back on them in a few days.

I really had to take this attitude throughout this grim time. I was blessed to have a lovely wife with the same outlook. I also cleaned up my diet and started working out near daily. And we were so lucky to have great weather in London in April. How was it where you were?
